1. Collection of Information

Registration Information

When creating an account, CELPIP TIP collects: name, email address, date of birth, CELPIP exam day, CELPIP goal, and login information from connected social media accounts (Facebook, Google, Apple ID). You may review and update registration details anytime by logging in, except for date of birth and location data, which update automatically based on device settings.

Purchases Information

Payment information is retained securely for fraud prevention and audit/tax purposes. We use automated systems to detect fraudulent transactions that violate our Terms and Conditions. Blocked transactions trigger a user notification, and affected users may contest decisions by contacting CELPIP TIP.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

The platform uses cookies and similar technologies to recognize and remember users.

2. Use of Your Information

CELPIP TIP uses collected data to:

  • Provide services and features
  • Contact users about app updates
  • Personalize content delivery
  • Conduct research and analytics
  • Test new technologies for improvement
  • Resolve disputes and enforce terms
  • Send promotional communications (with user consent)
  • Protect users and third parties

3. Security

No website guarantees complete security. We recommend logging out of your account after use, never sharing passwords, changing passwords periodically, and reporting suspected unauthorized access. Data transmission occurs at the user's own risk.

4. Linking Other Accounts to CELPIP TIP

Facebook/Google sign-in shares name, email, and date of birth. Apple ID shares login credentials and an editable name; users may hide their email address, and Apple creates a random replacement email. Disconnecting the app from these platforms prevents future data sharing, but previously collected data remains unless the CELPIP TIP account is deleted entirely.

TikTok (Share to TikTok)

If you use Share to TikTok on celpiptip.com, you sign in with TikTok and approve access to your basic profile (display name, username, avatar) and permission to post videos for you. Your TikTok access token is kept only in your browser tab's session storage and is deleted when you close the tab or press Disconnect, which also revokes our access. We do not store your videos, captions or TikTok profile on our servers: the video passes through our server only to be uploaded to TikTok when you press Post. You can also remove CELPIP TIP from your TikTok account at any time under Settings and privacy, Security and permissions, Apps and services permissions.

5. Your Rights

Applicable privacy laws may grant you:

  • Right to be informed about data processing
  • Right of access to personal data
  • Right of rectification for inaccurate data
  • Right to erasure
  • Right to restrict processing
  • Right to data portability
  • Right to object to processing
  • Rights regarding automated decision-making

For rights requests, contact [email protected]. You must provide identifying information for verification. Unresolved concerns may be escalated to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at www.ico.org.uk or your local data protection regulator.

6. Data Locations

Servers operate globally in the US, UK, and EU.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Personal information is retained as long as necessary for its legal basis and applicable law, including where required by law (e.g. tax compliance), to evidence legal compliance, where outstanding claims or disputes exist, or for legitimate business interests such as fraud prevention and safety. Copies of information may still be viewable or accessed to the extent it has previously been shared with, copied, or stored by others.

8. Changes to This Policy

Material changes trigger notification via account email or in-app notice.
